Layering Your Necklaces

Woman Wearing 2 Paper Clip Chains at 2 Lengths

We’ve seen it everywhere. How often do you see a Necklace or a Chain worn on its own? With the introduction of Minimalist Jewels into the industry, our loved heavy pieces are now being matched with smaller, more quaint pieces.

Looks great, right?

If layering is something you love doing, then you’re going to love getting an idea of how most women have been making Jewels look stunning. It’s not at all complicated, but how often have you felt frazzled when trying to decide? Nod your head?

Let’s get into it!

Layering is as simple as picking 2 or more Necklaces to wear at once, with coordinating lengths. To help make choosing easier, always lookout for Necklaces that have extra Jump Rings, or, for simplicity, Loops.

Having extra Loops definitely makes it easier to coordinate with. It can provide you with 1” to 2” additional length to work with. It also helps create perfect spacing between each Necklace. Consider the moments you wear a Medallion and need a touch of more space. Right there the Loops will save you!

This leads us to our next point: Medallions, Coins and Pendants. They add such elegance that you can’t ignore them. Most of us opt to wear the Necklace with the biggest Pendant at the bottom of the layer stack. Have you considered the “in-between” look? It is, simply put, exceptional. Use the Loops to your advantage to get the perfect lengths.

Let’s talk about colour.

Pause for a second. Style is all about you and what makes you look and feel great. If wearing two different colours together is your thing, keep doing it! You’ll be amazed at the number of Jewels crafted in two-tone and, sometimes, tri-tone.

If your preference is a consistent colour, take your time to compare plating. Jewels are almost always finished with a plated layer of Gold, whether 18kt Yellow, Pink or Rhodium White, Black. Think of it as a protective layer and, more importantly, a quality, professional finish. Unfortunately, different Jewellery is plated with different types of solutions. This means the finished product may have a slightly different contrast. Keep your eye open.

The only thing left to decide is what you’re wearing your lineup of Jewels with. Your Minimalist pieces will always look perfect with single coloured outfits; you’ll let the Jewels do the talking. If you love floral or patterned fashion, don’t fret! Any type of Jewellery layered will make you the room’s focus. All eyes on me, everyone!

If all of this is sounding like things you already know, stay ahead. Jewellery has always been regarded as both precious metals of value, as well as the highlight of the fashion industry. There will never be a perfect way to wear or craft Jewellery, but there will always be a way to wear crafted Jewellery into perfection!

A&A Jewels Co. maintains pride in the offering of Jewels crafted with integrity, reliability and beauty. Our passion is taken so far that our Minimalist collection is Nickel-free Sterling Silver. In addition, all pieces are plated with a proprietary E-coating to prevent any type of wearing out of colour and help prevent tarnishing.
